Larasati has been a lawyer for 25 years, during which she’s held a wide variety of posts and has developed strong credentials in all areas of corporate law. She was previously a founding partner of MX law firm. She earned her law degree from the prestigious University of Indonesia. She’s been involved in major deals in project financing, M&As, private equity and IPOs across several different industries, such as construction, mining and renewable energy, and aviation.
As a corporate lawyer with major international law firms Makarim Taira S (associated with Freehill Hollingdale & Page, an Australian-based firm) and Lubis Ganie Surowidjojo (LGS) (a firm previously associated with Baker & Mackenzie in Indonesia), she gained experience in a broad range of areas, such as international banking and finance, M&As, capital markets and foreign investment, as well as litigation.
Larasati has a strong foundation in banking and cross-border transactions from her years as in-house legal counsel for local and foreign banks in Jakarta, such as Fuji Bank International, as well as from her years in Singapore as the Director of Corporate Finance at Crosby Securities, a leading international stock brokerage house.
She’s held senior-level positions at an Ometraco Group company (as Vice President and Corporate Secretary) and at PT. Procter & Gamble Indonesia, a US-based publicly-listed consumer products company (as a director). She represented the shareholders of the most visited Internet company (astaga.com) in Indonesia in a private placement transaction. Larasati was also the general counsel of a holding company set up by the Indonesian Banking Restructuring Agency (IBRA) together with a debtor for the purpose of disposing of assets for the loan repayment of the debtor.
Larasati is a member of the Indonesian Bar Association and a registered capital market lawyer.
