Acquiring a Port Terminal Project in Myanmar
Although others forms also exist, most port terminals with private interests in Myanmar are “Landlord Ports”. That is to say, the port is leased to the private sector for it to operate the port services, for which it invests capital – generally through a concession.

  • Media company retains VDB Loi amid tensions with local players: Our disputes team has been engaged to assist a company in the media sector with a looming dispute that centers around intellectual property rights.
     
  • Energy group needs tax structuring advice: VDB Loi’s highly recognized tax team has started work on the tax planning of a complex energy investment.
     
  • Telecom investor starts due diligence: VDB Loi’s TMT team, with the help of the Corporate M&A team, is working on a due diligence exercise involving several companies in the telecommunications arena.
