Myanmar Tightens the Control of Food Production
May 13, 2024People tend to ignore the importance of complying with food laws and often sell food without FDA licenses in Myanmar. Efforts have been made by local authorities to tighten food production requirements, leading to the amendment of the National Food Law and a significant increase in penalties.

The law also introduces a new way of handling evidence—instead of confiscation, the court may order destruction instead.
