VDB Loi is advising a Japanese construction company on structuring, negotiations with the Government and implementation of a public private partnership (PPP) project in Myanmar

February 17, 2016

VDB Loi’s Infrastructure, Real Estate and Construction Team is advising a multinational Japanese construction company with the development of a mixed facility in Myanmar, comprising office spaces, hotels, serviced apartments and retail spaces.

The real estate development which is supported by the Japanese government, is seen as a landmark project and a starting point for the company’s future real estate projects in Myanmar. In addition to residential and commercial properties, it includes the construction of spaces of public contribution such as shelters and green public areas.

VDB Loi will provide legal advisory services on a wide range of matters, including public private partnership (PPP), structuring, drafting of all project documentation, and negotiations with the Myanmar Government as well as the implementation of the project. Our team will be led by Senior Partner Edwin Vanderbruggen and staff drawn from the Infrastructure, Real Estate and Construction Team.
