There will be two sizable land tenders in Myanmar, this time organized by the Ministry of Industry (44 acres) and a second one by the Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC) (70 acres).
The Ministry of Industry will hold an open tender for a number of land plots, 13 in total. A number of the plots are in the same vicinity. The total size is approximately 44 acres. All belong to the “No. 24 Heavy Industries Dagon Enterprise”, a state-owned enterprise. Most of the land is vacant, but one plot has an existing solar and meter workshop on its premises with 136 employees. The land is offered as 20 year leases with 2 extensions of 5 year each. The Ministry is looking for Expressions of Interest before 25 March, so time is of the essence.
As for the tender by the YCDC, there are 7 land plots most of which are offered for affordable housing projects for a total of nearly 70 acres. Two main plots are 11 acre and 40 acre respectively. The plots are situated across the Yangon townships of North Okkalapa, Dagon Myothit, Botataung and Kamaryut. Proposals are expected by 31 March. Tender documents and specifics can be obtained from YCDC directly or through us.
